Baseball News 4/20

This past week showed the fight, growth, and potential of our Freshman Caimans as they battled through a competitive slate. With league play now beginning, the focus sharpens and every inning takes on added importance. The early part of the season is about development—now it’s about execution, consistency, and competing pitch by pitch. League games will test our discipline and toughness, and this group has already shown they’re ready to rise to that challenge.
Novice game Recap
Caimans 3 – Eagles 5
On Wednesday, the Freshman Caimans showed resilience in a 5-3 battle against San Pasqual JV. After falling behind early, they chipped away at the deficit and stayed within striking distance throughout. Logan Johnson delivered a strong outing on the mound, going six innings while also contributing an RBI at the plate. Carson Sill added an RBI of his own, while Derek McAdam, Gianni Filpi, and Sill each recorded hits. The team displayed impressive plate discipline with 10 walks, led by McAdam, Kody Newsome, and Lucas Hodge. Defensively, the group was flawless, turning a double play and committing zero errors—an encouraging sign of their focus and preparation.
