Week of September 7 — Composure
Week of September 7 — Composure
The strongest steel isn’t simply hardened—it is tempered.
Tempering is what gives steel the strength to withstand pressure without becoming brittle. In football, composure serves the same purpose. There will be moments when emotions run high, adversity strikes, or things don’t go our way. Our response in those moments often determines the outcome more than the moment itself.
At Caiman Football, composure means staying steady when others lose control. It means responding instead of reacting. It means trusting your preparation, encouraging your teammates, and making the next right decision regardless of the score, the opponent, or the circumstances. Composure isn’t the absence of emotion; it’s the ability to lead your emotions instead of being led by them.
The best teams don’t panic under pressure. They trust the work they’ve already put in.
Ask yourself: Will my attitude bring calm and confidence to my teammates this week?
Schedule Reminder
Please note, the Army Navy game that was scheduled as a Home game has now been made an Away game — Senior Night was scheduled for that night. Senior Night has now been moved to next week’s game vs La Jolla Country Day.
Senior parents will be asked to gather on the field starting at 6p. Senior Night celebration will begin at 630p with Football seniors set to kickoff the celebration.

This Week’s Challenge
- Respond to every setback with poise—next play, next rep, next opportunity.
- Be a calming influence for your teammates when adversity arises.
- Listen before you speak, and think before you react.
- When pressure builds, take a breath, trust your preparation, and execute your assignment.
The forge leaves its mark one strike at a time. Make this week count.
