Week 0 — Hold the Line: Identity

HOLD THE LINE
A weekly reflection on character, growth, and the standards that guide our season.

As we begin the season, we want to be clear about who we are and what we stand for.

Our theme this year is HOLD THE LINE. It’s a simple phrase with a deep meaning: while faces, roles, and circumstances may change, our standards do not. This season brings new challenges—a young roster, a demanding schedule, and a period of transition—but our identity remains steady.

Week 0, the week before tryouts, is about identity. Before we evaluate skills or make roster decisions, we want every athlete to understand the standard they are stepping into. Tryouts are not about comparison or fear; they are about effort, coachability, and how each athlete carries themselves in moments of uncertainty.

Holding the line at this stage means showing up prepared, competing with courage, and treating teammates with respect—regardless of outcome. These qualities matter not only in volleyball, but in life, and they will guide us throughout the season.

We are excited to begin this journey together with clarity, purpose, and trust in the process.
