Swim & Dive News 3/30
Hello Caiman Families!
Wow! I cannot believe there are five weeks left of the regular season! You guys are killing it! Fast swimming, amazing diving, and awesome parents! In just a little over a month we will have League prelims and finals at Wagner pool. (May 1 and2) Please be sure to mark your calendars if you haven’t already as those meets are mandatory.
We are having fun and building camaraderie and community, friendships through team bonders and uplifting each other at practice and meets! So it is only appropriate that following respect and accountability, our word of the week is team. Most of us have heard an acronym for TEAM is Together Everyone Achieves More; and while this is a great acronym, I want to emphasize that even though swimming may look like an individual sport to some, we really do work together. Points for a regular swim and dive meet are: 1st place 6, 2nd place 4, 3rd place 3, 4th place 2 and 5th place 1. I have seen swimmers at other schools not try their best at a meet because they thought they had to get first place. This is not the case. Every point matters and so does your effort. So trying hard is a way to show respect for each other, your coaches and yourself, and being accountable by showing up to your race on time and coming to practice when you say you will on time(most of you come daily, unless you are swimming club or are swimming with CAHS during this season and minimal at club, or have notified me of some issues).

The coaches and I are so so proud of all of the hard work you have put in to training and with the times and points you are posting, it shows! Be proud of yourselves! The training is working!
