2025 Girls Volleyball Tryouts

7/31 and 8/1 from 3:30pm – 6pm

Hi Players and Parents, 

Thank you so much for your interest in Classical Academy Volleyball.  If you are new to Classical, WELCOME! If you are returning we are glad to have you back! 

 

In an effort to make sure everyone is on the same page we wanted to make sure everyone was fully aware of the expectations that come with being a part of the Caiman Volleyball Family.  First, we are not club.  We play for a different reason.   We play to represent CAHS which means having pride in our school and our program.  It means representing the school, the team, our teammates, coaches, and ourselves well.   It means being a part of a group of girls and coaches (and hopefully parents) that want to be a part of each other’s lives and want the best for each other.  It means showing up, participating in all activities (practice,games,bonders, fundraisers) and giving your best while there.  It means having a good attitude, working hard, not slacking off, and doing what you can to make the team as a whole, your teammates as individuals, yourself, and our program better. It means being there for each other on and off the court.

 

Our plan is to keep roughly 36 girls.  If you are cut, it is NOT personal.   We still love and care about you- we simply can’t keep everyone.  Also a reminder, we are very competitive and strive to play at the highest level, because of that we ask for a FULL commitment!  If you make the team, you will be expected to attend all volleyball related activities and participate in fundraisers.  We will practice 5 days a week, unless we have a game.  On game days all 3 levels are expected to support each other- which means varsity comes early and JV/Novice stay after their game to support varsity. Club practice/games/clinics (beach or indoor) do NOT have priority.  IF you are unable to make this commitment there is no judgment and no hard feelings but please do not take a spot from someone who is willing to commit fully to our program.

**If you make the team, you have practice starting Monday Aug 4 from 3:30-5:30pm @ EVCC

 

**Please also note that those who make the team will need to be at CAHS from 1- 3pm on Aug 5th.   (We may need a few parents who would be willing to take players from CAHS to practice at 3pm). Practice follows from 3:30-5:30pm at EVCC.

 

As coaches we are excited about the season ahead and can’t wait to work with you.   

 

For tryouts, do your best and don’t stress.  Remember attitude and effort go a long way!
