Girls Lacrosse News 3/9

📧 CAHS Girls Lacrosse Weekly Update: March 9th, 2026

A Message from the Coaches:

What a week!! If you were at El Capitan, you know. That comeback was all time, something the girls won’t soon forget. Perfect example of seeing what’s possible and making it happen. Great week overall for sure.

Thanks to Matt & Tom, many/most of our games will be filmed and available on HUDL. The players have access and can easily find themselves and create clips. Should be great motivation to create some highlights!!

🔄 Game Day Scout Rotation

To maximize development, we will suit up our (16) 1st String and (2) Scout Team players for each game (varies based on 1st String attendance).

  • The Goal: To allow our Scout players to learn the pace of the game alongside our 1st String in a supportive environment.
  • This Week’s Rotation: keep an eye on Band for call-ups

🥍 Technical Corner: Skill of the Week

Focus: Upleveling your game

Everyone – Watch some of the great NCAA games happening now and see the rhythm of those games. Notice the fast transitions and then patience on offense along with the discipline on defense.

Classic matchup from a few weeks back – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u2g51t_t-w

  • Starters: Start thinking about fast transitions, multiple passes to get back on offense quickly (will be needed as we play better teams after Spring Break).
  • Scout Team: Focus on bringing notable improvements in your ball control (cradling should be close to automatic if you’re investing time outside of practice)

🎒 Reminders & Action Items

    • Attendance: Please see Attendance Policy published in Band – mandatory
    • Uniforms: All 18 players must wear Red Jerseys Monday & Wednesday
  • Game Day Snacks: Please sign up in the Snacks chat in Band if you’d like to bring light snacks/drinks to the Thursday game at Del Lago

🛑 The “24-Hour Rule” Reminder

A reminder that our coaching staff observes a 24-hour quiet period following every contest. This allows everyone time to reflect on the game before engaging in developmental discussions.
