Girls Golf News 8/24

hello caimans,

Welcome back to school, I hope everyone had a wonderful summer! We’re excited to get back out on the course and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Week one is coming up and we are looking to get out to the Vineyards Golf Course for our practice and most of our matches this season. Our starting point will be meeting on the putting green by the snack bar at roughly 3:30 every day and depending on the activities of the day, we will either end around 5 or sunset.
When coming out for golf please make sure to wear something comfortable and golf related. Please no jeans or tank tops. It will be hot and we will be walking the course. Either make your bag lite or get a push cart. Having a water bottle will be key as well.
This season the school will be getting bags for the girls to use, but if you want to get your player to have their own, buy the same bag and the school will pay for the embroidery. I’ll give you a link as soon as we choose which ones we will get.
As far as the first week goes, it’ll be a casual get to know atmosphere where we will go over expectations and see what kind of talent we have this season. And depending on that we will cater the season to best suit the girls.
   Week one-
Tuesday 8/25 will be an introductory day. We will use the practice facilities for short game stuff and then over to the range for some full swings. This is a great place to ask any questions and get to know the other parents on the team. We will end around 5 on practice only days.
Wednesday 8/26 we will start the day in the same manner. Meet around 3:30 and use the short game area and range until 5 and then go out on the course to play some holes. Planning on finishing around sunset for the day where we all meet on the putting green area.
Thursday 8/27 we will have a practice only day from 3:30 – 5 and after that we will hand out team shirts and go over the next week’s activities. That’s week one!
  Week two–
Monday 8/31 is the school’s team picture day/ discuss the fundraising goals for each team. It will be at Studio and Cody W will be the guy to look for while we are there.  Our scheduled time is for 1pm, please try and arrive at 12:45 ready to take pictures. We will be wearing the new white shirts and black shorts/skirts for the pictures. As for fundraising we will be using the SNAP program. Our goal is for when you come in to have 20 phone numbers and 20 emails of potential donors into the SNAP system and the school will take care of the rest.
