E-Sports Preseason News
After finishing #24 out of 208 schools in Varsity Super Smash Bros. Ultimate last season, Caiman Esports is back! Esports practice is resuming on 11/3, and once again we will be competing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Practices and competitions will take place in CAHS-PLC’s Self-Directed Learning (SDL) Area on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Our schedule is as follows:
Tuesday: 3:15-5:00
Wednesday: 3:15-5:00*
Thursday: 3:15-5:00*
*When our scrimmages and competitions start, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will compete on Wednesdays, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will compete on Thursdays. Things often run until around 5:30 on competition days, so please plan accordingly.
Students are not required to bring their own Nintendo Switches or controllers, but it would be very helpful for any who are able, as our equipment is limited.
Our tryout process will take place over the course of multiple weeks, during which we will be evaluating the skill, sportsmanship, behavior, and coachability of students to determine team placements.
If this sounds interesting, we’ll look forward to seeing your students on 11/3! If you have any questions, please reach out to mkester@classicalacademy.com.
