Week 8 – Identity

Every team says they have a culture. But only a few can prove it when it’s tested. This week, we step into a game that means a lot and everybody knows it.

We know the history. We know what’s on the line. But what matters most is who we are when the ball is snapped. That’s where Identity takes over.

Our identity isn’t about a logo or a win-loss record. It’s how we practice. How we prepare. How we respond when we’re hit. It’s the way we speak to each other in the huddle. It’s the edge we carry during warmups. It’s the standard we refuse to lower—no matter the situation.

Identity is lived out in the moments no one sees. It’s the discipline to finish a drill with precision. It’s the humility to serve a teammate. It’s the consistency of our communication, our body language, our habits. We don’t just wear our values—we work them.

This week is about more than emotion. It’s about conviction. Identity means knowing exactly who we are and never letting the opponent—or the moment—decide for us.

We don’t need noise to get going. We don’t need hype to play hard. We know who we are, and we bring that identity to every snap, every series, every play.

So when the lights come on and the crowd gets loud, we don’t flinch. We don’t feed into the noise. We stay rooted in our identity.

Let’s show them who we are.

Tuesday’s Practice

Girls Flag Football (Varsity & JV) is hosting Escondido Charter this week Tuesday—we are trying to avoid a very late practice night on a school night.  We will have a location update by practice tomorrow and will update everyone at that time.  Here are the options we are considering:

  2. Ryan Park, 4-615p
  3. Hidden Valley MS—Starting on the Black Top, 615-830p
