Week 11 – Poise

This season has tested us. The scoreboard hasn’t always shown it, but the lessons have been real—and this week, we face our biggest test yet.

We line up against the top team in the conference. The heavyweight. The favorite. And we’re walking in as the underdog. But that’s not a weakness—it’s an edge.

Our Word of the Week is Poise.

Poise is composure under pressure. It’s calm in the chaos. It’s knowing who you are when everything around you speeds up. It’s not fear, not flinch, not fake hype—it’s real confidence, built through real work.

Poise shows up in our communication. In our body language. In the way we reset after a bad play, and the way we lock back in after a great one. It shows up in the fourth quarter when most teams lose their voice—we find ours.

This week, we prepare for Goliath.

But we’re not bringing a slingshot. We’re bringing discipline, detail, and poise.

Let’s play with edge.
Let’s lead with clarity.
Let’s compete with poise.
