Week 14 – Finish

The end of the regular season doesn’t come with a warning. It comes with a challenge: How will you finish?

Our Word of the Week is Finish. And for me, that word takes me back to a middle school track. I was just a kid, training for football, running laps under the sun while my dad stood by the fence line.

Every time I ran that mile, he didn’t just care about my time—he cared about the ending. “Sprint the last 100,” he’d say. It didn’t matter how tired I was, or how slow the previous laps felt. The finish had to be strong.

At first, I hated it. But over time, I started to love it. I started to chase that last stretch. Because that’s where I learned what I had left. That’s where I learned what I was made of.

And now, here we are. The last stretch of our season. One more week. One more test. One more chance to show what we’ve built.

Playoffs? Maybe. We’ll find out soon enough. But that’s not the point.

The point is what we do now—this week, together. In meetings. In warmups. In the way we finish every rep, every practice, every moment.

This week isn’t about hype. It’s about pride. Discipline. Brotherhood. And the strength to finish.

Let’s attack this week like it’s the last 100 yards.
Let’s sprint it out.
Let’s finish well.

Be real. Be thorough. Be intentional.
