Week 5 – Toughness
Last week wasn’t the result that we wanted, but courage isn’t about a result—it is a commitment to a purpose despite not knowing the outcome. Our boys made us proud by playing Caiman Football for all 4 quarters; we fought and played hard for all 4 quarters. There was no whining or complaining or quitting in our boys and that is part of Caiman Football, too.
This week, our goal is grow and build upon last week’s battle. We line up against another in-town opponent—another chance to show we’re not just some small charter school, we’re changing the conversation. And we do that through Toughness.
Toughness isn’t just physical—it’s mental, emotional, and spiritual. It’s how you respond when things don’t go your way. It’s how you fight through pain, pressure, and setbacks without losing your poise. It’s how you carry yourself when your body is tired but the team still needs you.
Toughness shows up in how you finish. How you respond after getting beat. How you lead when you’re hurting. How you protect your teammates with your actions, not just your words. It’s not about pretending you’re not tired—it’s about being relentless anyway.
We don’t tap out. We don’t flinch. We don’t fade. We keep showing up, play after play, with grit in our teeth and pride in our pads. That’s what toughness looks like.
This week is about letting our pads do the talking. Playing fast. Playing smart. Playing through contact and chaos without losing control. Let’s be the team that answers hard hits with harder effort. Let’s show that we don’t just talk toughness—we live it.
Let’s be the team that refuses to break—because we’ve already decided we won’t.
Gear Up Day/First Day of School
As we get closer to Gear Up Day/First Day of School you will be informed that you have a time window to stop by the school. As an athlete, you are allowed to go earlier in the day if your time window interferes with your scheduled practice time.
