Week of August 31

 

Hope everyone thrived in their first week of school! Congrats to JV for pulling off the win in the 3rd set against Del Norte!  Proud of you guys!   Novice and Varsity unfortunately did not get the win, but as a coaching staff we fully believe in our teams and know that in time we will sync and play well together.  Our bonder was full of laughs, getting to know each other, and some good food! 

 

Great job and thank you to all who help with the football fundraiser!   It was a huge success with well over 1,000 people in attendance just on the Classical side and that did not include any of our girls, football players, ASB, or performers!   An extra shout out to JV (and a few others) who rocked the snack bar during halftime!!! So proud of our program! We received such positive feedback from admin about how well our program did at running our first home football game.

Community Service Hours Opportunity- still looking for 10-12th graders to commit to being there! 

Sophomores-Seniors are needed to help out with our CAMS program that practices right before us on Mondays from 1-3pm.   You can use this time for part of your required community service hours. Let Coach Jen or Coach Melissa know if you are interested in helping out. 

 

This week has us on the road again and JV/Novice both have a tournament (yes at the same location at the same time) this weekend.  Please make sure to read through the details  for the week ahead.

Tuesday, 9/1- Game @ Granite Hills High School Early Release- 2:15pm

• Nov/JV-4:30pm 
• Varsity- 6:00pm

 

Wednesday, 9/2-  Practice

                      – 3:30-5:30pm @EVCC

 

Thursday, 9/3- Practice

                      – 3:30-5:30pm @EVCC

 

Friday, 9/4-  Practice

                      – 3:30-5:20pm @EVCC (yes we are getting done early due to a gym conflict)

 

Saturday, 9/5- Novice and JV Titan Tournament @ Alliant University

• Play will begin at 8am. Doors open to allow teams & spectators in by 7:15am.  There will be 8 courts running. The court numbers will NOT match the numbers on the walls inside the gym. We will post a diagram of the court layout inside the gym when you come in. Courts 1-4 will be the JV pools and courts 5-8 will be the Freshmen pools.

 

• We are charging admission at the door – adults will be charged $15, Seniors and students are $10, but kids under 12 years old will be free. Parking will also be free.

 

• The gym is hot! Players bring water bottles! Spectators plan accordingly.
