Week of August 17

 

Starting week three! Last week media day went great, the girls all looked beautiful! We also set up our SnapRaise that day. A few of the girls had an issue with the internet and connecting so if they are still not able to get an account set up please see Coach Jen and she will help you. 

 

We get to host our first home game this week! Rebekah Borland will be overseeing our snack bar but she needs parental support.  Please check out the link and either sign up to donate any of the specific items she has on the list and/or sign up to help run the snack bar during the games.  Typically Varsity parents will run it during the JV/Novice game and JV/Novice will run it during the Varsity game so that parents can watch their athletes play.  Many hands make light work so please help out where you can! 

 

Girls Vball Snack Bar Donations/Volunteering

 

We have a couple new things to add to our calendar: 

Novice was given the opportunity to play in a couple mini tournaments. The first one is Sept 26th and the second one is Oct 10th- both are currently set to be played at Sage Creek High School. Novice Families please save those dates. 

 

August 28th- Fundraiser and Bonder- we will be doing a whole program bonder immediately after school and we will be working the first home football game of the year that night.  More details to come soon, but all athletes are expected to participate in the bonder and work a shift at the game.  

 

We are also looking for sophomores-seniors to help out with our CAMS program that practices right before us on Mondays from 1-3pm.   You can use this time for part of your required community service hours. Let Coach Jen or Coach Melissa know if you are interested in helping out. CAMS first practice is tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 17th

                        Be at Alliant by 2:00pm

                   (Pools have technically been released but due to a conflict we have asked for a schedule change and are waiting to hear back from the tournament director. We will let you know asap what time and who we are playing- regardless we need to be there by 2:00pm)

 

Saturday, 8/22 –Varsity- Day #2 Westview Tournament @ Alliant University-9:00am start time

 

All tournament play will be held at Alliant once again. Friday’s pool play will begin at 3:00 pm. Parking will be free on Friday. Saturday bracket play will begin at 9:00 am. Saturday Alliant will be charging for parking. $15/vehicle. 

 

Spectators: $20
