Week of August 10

Week one went great as our teams/coaches got to know each other!  Varsity participated in 2 scrimmages and got a chance to move players around in different line ups and see some things we need to work on for games.  Thank you to all of you that made it out to our parent meeting.  If you missed it, please make sure to connect with Coach Jen

As a reminder each week you can find our weekly news on caimansports.com and the SportsYou app. Please add it to your phone if you have not done so.  It’s logo should look like this on your phone:   The players have been sent links for themselves to join their teams as well as the links to share with parents so that parents can join their parent groups.

Just a quick reminder that we are officially in season and it is expected that all athletes be at the gym on time for practice. They should be on the court ready to go at 3:30pm.  If they need time to change and/or put on shoes and knee pads they need to be there much earlier.  They should also be there early enough to help set up nets.  Please adjust your drop off/arrival time to accommodate their needs.

At our parent meeting on Thursday we asked for parents to sign up to be a team parent.   A team parent is a liaison between other parents and coaches.  Your team parents for this year are: 

Novice: we still need someone to volunteer

JV: Vicki Sweeten (Delaney’s mom) 

Varsity: Amber Fairfield (Brooklyn’s mom)

             Lauren Crews (Haylee’s mom)

Thank you to these moms for signing up.  If you are a novice parent and are willing to help fill the gap, please let Coach Jen, Coach Melissa, or Coach Kylie know as soon as possible.

Monday, 8/10- JV/Novice  -Practice 3:30-5:30pm @EVCC

                              Varsity- Scrimmage @ Linfield Christian School 4:30pm

• Varsity we will be doing a late lunch together and then a small bonder before the scrimmage.  Van is leaving from school at 12:45pm.  If you are meeting us, be at the Promenade Temecula Food Court by 1:20pm.  Bring money for whatever you want to eat.  

 

Tuesday, 8/11- Practice

         – 3:30-5:30pm @EVCC

 

Wednesday, 8/12- Game @ Rancho Bernardo High School

                            JV/Novice -4:30pm

                            Varsity- 6pm

 

Thursday, 813- Practice

                     – 3:30-5:30pm @EVCC

 

Friday, 8/14-  Media Day/Snap Raise- 10:45am @ CAHS (updated time!)

• ALL 3 TEAMS NEED TO BE HERE IN UNIFORM (please meet in the front quad at CAHS Studio campus) 

• All players will be taking the team photo as well as an individual photo

• Start creating your list now of 20 contacts to reach out to. Please put them on your phone so you have them ready to go.

Here are some details that have been shared so far: 

All tournament play will be held at Alliant once again. Friday’s pool play will begin at 3:00 pm. Parking will be free on Friday. Saturday bracket play will begin at 9:00 am. Saturday Alliant will be charging for parking. $15/vehicle.

They do also typically charge for spectators.  I have reached out to find out how much and will let you know asap.
