Hello Beach Volleyball Families,

I hope everyone has had a great summer! I’m excited to kick off our upcoming beach volleyball season and wanted to share important information regarding tryouts and the commitment expected for our program.

Tryout Information

• Dates: Monday, August 10 & Tuesday, August 11

• Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

• Location: Mission Hills Church

Tryouts are open to all grade levels. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin promptly at 3:30 PM.

You must be CLEARED on Home Campus for the 2026-27 school year in order to participate in Tryouts. If you show up to Tryouts and are not cleared, you will not be allowed to step on the court. Click here for the Athletic Clearance Instructions. If you have trouble with the process, email athletics@classicalacademy.com and a member of the department will help out.

Please bring plenty of water and come prepared to play in the sun and sand, as temperatures may be hot. Punctuality is important and appreciated.

During tryouts, athletes will be evaluated on their volleyball skills, game play, effort, communication, and coachability.

For our returning players, I would appreciate your help arriving by 3:15 pm to assist with setting up the nets and court lines before tryouts begin.

Team Commitment

If your athlete earns a spot on the team, attendance at practices and matches is a commitment for the duration of the season.

Practice Schedule

• Mondays & Tuesdays: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM at Mission Hills Church

Match Days

• Thursdays: Beginning at 3:00 PM and lasting until the conclusion of the match.

If you already know of a scheduling conflict that will prevent your athlete from attending tryouts, please reach out to me personally as soon as possible so we can discuss the situation.

Team selections will be emailed and/or announced on Wednesday evening.
