Hello Athletes and Families!
Welcome to March… we still have over two months of riding with the
team so let’s keep going strong and enjoy this amazing weather!
We have some super fun things coming up this month, including our
Snots of Gold Challenge on the 17th, the Annual Bike to the Beach
ride, and our Spring Break Challenge!
Week in Review!
Saturday’s practice was hot! Remember to drink before and during
your ride. Athletes were reminded to drink “early and often!” If you
are unsure how to carry extra water for longer or warmer rides, please
ask a coach!

PLEASE Clean and LUBE YOUR CHAIN once a week! We’ve been having too many
broken chains. This is an essential part of your drive train and needs to be
maintained. Chain lube and cloths are always in the small black bin inside coach
Carrie’s van (near the back right corner).
Do your best to arrive at practice on time! Prepare gear the night before,
including filling water bottles and packing a snack and riding clothing.
Daylight savings begins this Sunday and you will soon see some changes to our
T/TH practice locations! We will have more time to explore trails! We will clearly
announce these locations and modified times. Times may change by about 15
minutes but watch the calendar for updates!

Tuesday, March 3 rd : 4:00pm-5:15pm Sikes Adobe, Lake Hodges; meet in dirt lot
(Anyone up for trying Hamburger Hill?)
Thursday, March 5 th 4:00pm-5:15pm Daley Ranch, La Honda Dr (across from
entrance to Dixon Lake)
Saturday, March 7 th 10:00-12:00pm LOCATION TBA
**Saturday, March 7 th HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEER opportunity with Ride Krew
8:00-12:30pm Oceanside (See Team Snap for details!)
