Hello MTB Athletes & Families!
We are fired up and ready for a GREAT week of riding! Clear skies ahead with trails drying out!
Last weekend was race weekend out at Vail Lake with IDEAL weather and no dust! Congrats to
our hard-charging athletes who stepped up to the line and represented Classical Academy!
Way to go Honora, Macai and Ethan Treebs!
State MTB Race!
If you are interested in racing but are not registered with the league, several options are
coming up this spring! The SoCal Cycling League is hosting the State Championships on May 2-
3 rd in Tehachapi, CA. ANYONE in middle or high school, whether they are on our bike team or
not, can register for this event! *THERE are a limited number of spaces in these races;
registration is OPEN now! Register before April 1 st to receive a custom race plate. Our bike
team will be camping together for this event.

Quick n Dirty Race Series: The second option for racing is with the upcoming Quick n Dirty
Thursday night Series, which kicks off on April 30 th at the Lake Hodges boat ramp! This race
series runs for eight races and has racers for kids and adults! Many of our athletes AND
coaches race these events. It’s very spectator and family-friendly! (This is an independent race
organization and open to the public)

WEEK AT A GLANCE-
TUESDAY Practice: 4:00pm-5:5:15pm- DALEY RANCH- Meet at the top of La Honda Drive,
across from the entrance to Dixon Lake
Thursday Practice: 4:00-5:15 pm SIKES ADOBE, LAKE HODGES
Saturday Practice: 10:00-12:00 Endurance Ride- Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. Please meet
in the dirt lot just before the ranch house. This is just past the sports fields. Please bring a
snack and water for a two-hour ride.
