Girls Lacrosse News 2/23
CAHS Girls Lacrosse Weekly Update: February 23th, 2026
A Message from the Coaches:
Well that was a wet and chilly game!! Great focus all week that led to high confidence play and a positive result (12-5). Defense got much more exposure this week and did a great job. Thanks to the parents that endured the conditions with us! Game this week against Bonita Vista – remember to find a carpool early (if needed) and be on time!!

⭐ Player Highlights
Celebrating growth across the whole roster
- Grace Stehly – With 4 goals and 3 assists at Del Lago, Grace definitely earned this recognition. She always maintains great energy that is contagious, a huge asset to our team.
🔄 Game Day Scout Rotation
To maximize development, we will suit up our (16) 1st String and (2) Scout Team players for each game.
- The Goal: To allow our Scout players to learn the pace of the game alongside our 1st String in a supportive environment.
- This Week’s Rotation: 2/26 @ Bonita Vista – TBD (announced at practice Monday)
🥍 Technical Corner: Skill of the Week
Focus: Fundamentals
- Starters: Ground Balls – create different scenarios and practice
- Scout Team: Continue focusing on the cradle and mixing in receptions (without those 2 skills there isn’t much for you to do on the field)

🛑 The “24-Hour Rule” Reminder
A reminder that our coaching staff observes a 24-hour quiet period following every contest. This allows everyone time to reflect on the game before engaging in developmental discussions.
