Week 3 — Hold the Line: Composure

HOLD THE LINE
A weekly reflection on character, growth, and the standards that guide our season.

This week marks our first tournament and matches of the season—the first opportunity to test our preparation in live competition.

Our focus this week is composure.

Composure is the ability to stay steady when emotions rise, momentum shifts, and pressure increases. Young teams often feel the highs and lows of competition more intensely, which makes composure an essential skill to develop early. Holding the line with composure means maintaining positive body language, communicating clearly, and responding thoughtfully to both success and adversity.

Wins and losses will come, but our priority remains the same: staying connected, learning from each moment, and trusting the work we’ve put in. When we hold the line emotionally, we give ourselves the best chance to grow and compete at our highest level.
