Boys Basketball Fall Update
Hi Everyone,
Hope you enjoyed the rest of your Summer!
As we settle into the new school year I wanted to update everyone on a few things.
Also, this will be the last email to this list (interested in basketball for 24/25). At the end of the email there’s a link to signing up for this year’s (25/26) interest list.
-Thank you to all the players and parents that helped and participated over the Summer. Though it was last minute and many folks were juggling previous commitments, it was a good way to get introduced to everyone.
-We will not be doing a formal Fall League this year. We’ll be looking to hopefully add this next year (to go along with a team camp and a Summer League) as things get established. However, we do have 4 practice times for anyone interested in coming out for the team.
The dates are Mondays: 10/6, 10/13, 10/20 & 10/27. The time will be 5:45pm – 7:45pm at East Valley Community Center. Will send a reminder email before then as well.
-The Caiman Sports site (Caimansports.com) has been updated. Tryout dates and times have been added and you’ll find a link to Athletic Clearance for the kids to be eligible to participate.
We have a lot of confidence in this group and have put together a schedule to match. You’ll start to see games added to the schedule on Caiman Sports and MaxPreps as game times are finalized.
Over half of our games are against teams from higher divisions along with a holiday tournament at Mt. Carmel. These challenges will have us ready for our League and, ideally, a deep run into the playoffs!
Important Dates:
Fall Caiman Way Meeting on 10/14
Tryouts:
11/10 (Varsity-330-530pm//JV 530-7)
11/12 (Varsity-330-530pm//JV 530-730)
First game:
11/18 at High Tech NC
As mentioned, Varsity will be in a holiday tournament this year.
Those dates are: (12/26, 12/27, 12/29 and 12/30).
