Week of August 25

 

Hi CAHS Volleyball Families!

What a fun full week with our first head to head games! Proud of all 3 of our teams!  It’s fun to watch them improve and begin to click with each other on the courts.  Looking forward to the week ahead.  It’s a little lighter in some ways and busier in others.  

 

Thank you to all of you who donated snacks for our snack bar.  Rebekah Borland is coordinating it, but please check out this link to see the items we could still use.  Please add your name to the item you will be donating. Our next home game is Thursday so donations can be brought to practice on Monday and Wednesday.

Fundraising

In addition to our own snack bar we have been given the opportunity to do a couple fundraisers related to the school right away.  

 THIS Friday we will be selling pizza at lunch.  The girls will be doing all the work, but we do need a parent that is willing to order and pay for the pizzas initially and pick them up from Costco and then you will be reimbursed right after the fundraiser.   This is a quick easy way for us to raise some money, but again we do need a parent willing to place and pick up the order.  Please let Coach Jen know if you are interested and willing. 

 

Gate Fundraiser- Sept 5 we will be working the gate at the football game

Snack Bar- Sept 26 we will be working the snack bar at the football game

 

SnapRaise- we will be participating in SnapRaise again this year.  More details to come soon!

Monday, 8/25- Practice @ EVCC 3:30-5:30pm

 

Tuesday, 8/26- No Practice/Game-  Gear Up Day go get your stuff and meet your teachers! 

 

Wednesday,8/27- Practice @ EVCC 3:30-5:30pm

 

Thursday, 8/28-Game @ EVCC vs El Camino 3:30pm start time

• 2:30pm arrival all 3 levels

 

Friday, 8/29-  Pizza Fundraiser at lunch

                      Team Bonder- (see below for details)

Monday, 9/1- NO Practice- Labor Day

 

Tuesday, 9/2- Game @ EVCC vs Linefield Christian 3:30pm start time- JV/Varsity Only

                  – Novice will be working both games at the same time

                              – 2:30pm arrival all 3 levels

 

Wednesday,9/3- Practice @ EVCC 3:30-5:30pm

 

Thursday, 9/4-Game @ San Pasqual 4:30pm/6pm start time

• 2:45pm dismissal all 3 levels

 

Friday, 9/5- Practice @ EVCC 3:30-5:30pm – Novice/JV

                   Football Game Fundraiser – Varsity 4-6:30pm 

• JV/Novice 6:30- 8:00pm (maybe earlier)      

 

Saturday, 9/6- JV/Novice Tournament Alliant University (more details to come)                                          

 

Team Bonder

– August 29- Our program will be having its first Team Bonder of the season! 

• This will be our media day and team activity
• Bring your uniform, black spandex, and jeans for pictures, and a change of clothes
• Bring snacks/drinks to share (this will be a giant smorgasbord of food

 for all 3 levels to share together)

• If you have sand toys or can get some please bring them.
• NO van available this time so please carpool
• Location: Oceanside Harbor- 3:45pm (or as close to that as you can considering traffic) done by 6pm.  
• Coaches are leaving at 6pm.  If you are wanting to stay after that your parent must message the coaches to let us know you are allowed to stay without us!  That includes those of you who drive yourself. 

 

Carpooling– 

Please feel free to set up your own carpools. For farther away games we will have 1 van available on a first come first serve basis available to all levels and I will create a link in the weekly newsletter for sign ups. If you are able to carpool others, click on the link for the game that you can carpool and add your vehicle so other families can add their player to your car.
